1. Shift Manager
The Shift Manager position is suitable for experienced power plant operations professionals with strong leadership capabilities.
Requirements:
- Engineering degree.
- Strong experience in CCGT power plant operations.
- Proven experience leading shift operations teams.
- Power and desalination or IWPP experience.
- Experience with Alstom GT26.
- Knowledge of MED/RO desalination systems.
- Experience with PTW and QHSE.
- Knowledge of PWPA, OMA and GSA.
- Strong team leadership and operational decision-making skills.
2. Control Room Engineer
The Control Room Engineer will require practical experience in power plant operations and managing plant conditions from the control room.
Requirements:
- Engineering degree.
- CCGT power plant operations experience.
- Control room and plant operations experience.
- Ability to handle trips, upsets and emergency conditions.
- PTW and plant isolation experience.
- Knowledge of electrical systems and protection.
- Experience with RO/MED desalination.
- Strong operational and technical communication skills.
3. Mechanical Technician
SOS is also seeking a Mechanical Technician with hands-on maintenance experience in power generation facilities.
Requirements:
- Engineering diploma, technical qualification or relevant field experience.
- Minimum 5 years of mechanical maintenance experience.
- CCGT or power plant experience.
- Hands-on experience with gas turbines, steam turbines and HRSG.
- BOP, rotating equipment, shutdown and overhaul experience.
- Vibration monitoring and laser alignment experience preferred.
- Knowledge of mechanical isolation, LOTO and IBM Maximo.
4. Electrical Technician
The Electrical Technician position requires practical experience maintaining electrical equipment in power and desalination facilities.
Requirements:
- Engineering diploma or relevant technical qualification.
- Minimum 2 years of electrical maintenance experience.
- Power and desalination plant experience.
- Experience with HV, MV and LV systems.
- Knowledge of generators, transformers, switchgear and motors.
- Exposure to excitation systems, SFC, protection systems, batteries and inverters.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of LOTO and IBM Maximo preferred.
Preferred Power Plant Experience
Candidates with experience in CCGT, IWPP, power and desalination plants are encouraged to apply. Exposure to Alstom GT26, steam turbines, HRSG, MED/RO desalination, PTW, QHSE, power and water dispatch, and plant shutdowns will be relevant to these positions.
